Where is all the good press?

When P.W. was hired over the summer, her "job" was to get out the good news about the schools. All we have seen so far is an article from 7/21 stating that renovations were on schedule and a puff piece from 9/20 about how the younger students are enjoying the benefits of high school. Both articles are very misleading. As we all know the so-called renovations are still ongoing at the IS/HS. Renovations that we agree were long overdue, but clearly were a band aid, not true renovations. Keep in mind without the "wealthy bond holders" money that was raised by us the taxpayers to build a new k-12 school, these "renovations" would most likely never have happened. This is how the stay on trackers gave you a modest tax break. Without the leftover bond money there would have been no renovations, and/or a tax increase. We will be able to check out these renovations at the open house tour scheduleed for 10/21 at 8pm. Many of us have been through the school for meetings and activities recently. What is you opinion of the renovations. Are they really just a band-aid or did they add some life to the building?

Reminder: There is a Parent Advisory Meeting tonight in the LGI room at 6p.m. Bring your concerns/suggestions to the meeting.
